Painted Pots & Happy Hearts
There's something timeless about the connection between mothers and flowers—both have a way of brightening our lives, bringing joy, and reminding us of love that endures through every season.
For years, Grange Co-op has honored this bond by hosting a free Paint-a-Pot event. Children are invited to decorate a flower pot and plant a seedling as a gift to their mom—a heartfelt, handmade token of appreciation for Mother’s Day.
To all the moms out there who fill our lives with care, color, and love: Thank you!
Art in Bloom Brightens Downtown Medford
Budding once again, the Art in Bloom Festival has returned to Downtown Medford—bringing vibrant color, creativity, and community spirit! Grange Co-op was honored to take part in the 20th Art in Bloom festival, where attendees enjoyed a lively mix of fine art, flowers, and local fare. We hosted a hands-on planting station where kids (and the young at heart) could pot a bright flower to take home—a cheerful reminder of growth and new beginnings. It was wonderful to see so many of you there, and we look forward to even more blooming faces next year!
The Spring Garden Fair Grows at The Expo
Sometimes the most rewarding blooms are the ones we wait the longest for. After several years, the Jackson County Master Gardener Association’s annual Spring Fair is back at the Expo! Over 2,000 folks turned out to the association’s prodigal return to the Jackson County fairgrounds, shopping the array of vegetables, annual flowers, and native plants grown and nurtured by this year’s graduating class, under the watchful eye of Master Gardener mentors. Several other vendors were selling as well, including Grange Co-op! Hope to catch you at next year’s Spring Fair!
FFA Grants Cultivate Local Success
Grange Co-op is proud to continue its partnership with the Future Farmers of America through our Oregon FFA Grant program, helping support hands-on agricultural education throughout Southern Oregon. For several years, we’ve co-funded a grant program that allows local FFA chapters to apply for funding—supporting everything from infrastructure improvements to long-term chapter sustainability.
In 2024, we were pleased to award grants to the Henley and Mazama FFA chapters. Henley FFA used the funds to expand their facilities for laying hens, giving students a chance to learn not only about animal care but also the importance of preparing for various weather conditions. Mazama FFA invested in their greenhouse project, working hard to meet the challenges of timing transplants and maintaining a steady supply of fresh vegetables for their school.
Congratulations to both chapters for your dedication, innovation, and continued growth. We’re proud to support the next generation of agricultural leaders right here in our community!
