GROWING TOGETHER
For a lot of folks, Spring is the season they wait weeks and weeks for, and once it finally arrives, it seems like it’s over in a matter of days. Truly, the last few months have flown by! Let’s see what’s growing around your local Grange Co-op.
Our annual planting event brings in big crowds eager to get their start on spring planting. Additionally, every year we partner with local 4-H and FFA groups who help out our customers with picking, planting, and carrying their creations back to the vehicle. Thank you Barnyard Beasties 4-H, Crater FFA, Hallwood 4-H, Hidden Valley FFA, Innovation Academy FFA, Lost River FFA, Phoenix FFA, and Redding Christian FFA for joining us on one of our favorite days of the year!
ROOTED IN COMMUNITY
Great things continue to grow
with our annual Arbor Day tree
sapling giveaway. While last year
our budding Redding location
was only able to participate with
a drive-thru teaser, this year
they joined all seven of our other
locations, handing out 1,400 trees
across Southern Oregon and
Northern California.
BLOOMS & BRUSHES
Because moms deserve all the beauty in the world, we want to help kids—and the young at heart—create something uniquely their own for Mother’s Day. Our annual Paint-a-Pot event invites folks to decorate a terra cotta pot and plant it with a beautiful annual flower start. We hope these handmade gifts serve as a small but meaningful expression of the endless gratitude moms deserve!
REDDING RIDES TOGETHER
The Redding Rodeo has hosted Special Kids Day for several decades, alongside the Asphalt Cowboys. This event is a great way for kids needing additional needs to experience horseback riding, along with wagon rides, a petting
zoo, and frozen treats. About 300 kids attended this free event, which parents and educators look forward to every year.
BRINGING HOME THE BLOSSOMS
Medford celebrated big blooms and bigger crowds with its 73rd annual Pear Blossom Parade. The weather was a bit unpredictable — as all Oregon springs are — but we stayed dry until the end. Grange Co-op was even honored to be awarded Best Commercial Float — a great team effort!
SOWING THE SEEDS OF SUCCESS
We are proud to have partnered with Crater FFA to sell their stunning hanging baskets at both our Central Point and White City locations. These gorgeous baskets were overflowing with color – a testament to the hard work that Crater High School students had been putting into these projects since February.
ASHLAND ROCKS THE BLOCK
Ashland knows how to throw a party! On occasion, the Railroad District neighborhood comes together and temporarily closes A St, opening the area to foot traffic and encouraging local businesses to join the community in a night of live music, drinks, and revelry! This last party was themed around Earth Day, so Grange Co-op associates were on hand helping attendees make healthy and natural blends of pup-friendly trail mix, with assorted kibbles and treats. Stop on by the ‘Tail Waggin’ Wagon’ the next time you find yourself at the ‘A’ St Block Party!
