COOL WEATHER, WARM VIBES

The crisp weather brought thousands of locals to downtown Talent, Oregon for a day of food, music, and revelry. Celebrating 54 years, the Talent Harvest Festival immediately followed several morning races hosted by Southern Oregon Runners and also included a ‘Wheely Fun Parade’ in conjunction with Talent Maker City. In addition to being sponsors of the event, Grange Co-op hosted a free activity for kids and families. Free pansy & viola starts, in their festive fall colors, were provided to attendees to pot up and, if they felt so inclined, given a cute jack-o-lantern face. We hope these little keepsakes bring a touch of bright warmth to folk’s gardens, and make the winter months just a bit brighter.

FRIENDS OF A FEATHER

Domestic bird enthusiasts across Southern Oregon flocked to the Northwest Bird Club’s annual Bird Mart, hosted at the Expo in Central Point early October. Over 500 attendees shopped for new bird toys and accessories, as well as domestic birds from local breeders. Grange Co-op was on hand with not one but two free activities for attendees; folks could make their own treat bag with an assortment of Kaytee & Lafeber assorted seeds and snacks. They could also build their own bird toys, with an assortment of goodies provided by Zoo Med, JW Pet, and A&E Cage Company. Thank you Northwest Bird Club for inviting us into your nest, and we hope to see y’all again next year!

HOT DOGS AND COLD HOPS

Everyone loves a good block party, and the Railroad District in Ashland, Oregon is no stranger to a great gathering. For their October event, businesses up and down A Street participated with live music, unique food options, and great sales all built around celebrating our four-legged friends. Grange Co-op stayed open late and had a fantastic raffle prize, featuring everything that a dog mom or dad could need for a fantastic fall adventure with their favorite pup. Thank you Wild Thyme Productions for organizing these jamborees, and we’ll see y’all at the next one!
