Saddle Up for Redding Rodeo
The rodeo is back in town! The Redding Rodeo is a historic stop of the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA) circuit, and a member of the ProRodeo Hall of Fame. Held every May at the Redding Rodeo Grounds, the nearly week-long event includes fundraisers, mutton bustin’, a parade, and of course the rodeo itself! Grange Co-op is proud to sponsor the Redding Rodeo, celebrating its 77th year.
Festival Fun on the Rogue River
One of the highlights of the annual Boatnik Festival in Grants Pass, Oregon is the Boatnik Parade. Organized by the Grants Pass active club, the festival is celebrating its 66th year of Memorial Day festivities, including a carnival, fireworks, concerts, and of course the hydroplane races up and down the famous Rogue River! Our Grants Pass team loves joining in the annual procession, and we always seem blessed with good weather and great crowds!
Fair Season Kicks Off with Jackson County Spring Fair
Southern Oregon’s fair season is underway as it kicks off with the Jackson County Spring Fair. 4-H, FFA, and students in other agricultural youth programs culminate their sheep, goat, and rabbit projects with exhibitions and a jr. livestock auction. Because of this split, several students will also go on to finish, exhibit, and auction their swine or steer projects, in addition to poultry, at the Jackson County Fair later this year. Representatives from both our Central Point and Medford stores purchased a total of 8 animals. We’re looking forward to more junior livestock auctions; both at our hometown Jackson County Fair in July as well as all the other counties we serve in California and Oregon!
Grounds, Hounds, and Grange Co-op
Good morning, Central Point! Have you had your pup of joe today? Say hi to your favorite bark-ista? Grange Co-op partnered with Gather Productions and several Central Point businesses for the Grounds & Hounds event, a celebration of coffee and canines at Twin Creeks Park. We were excited to sponsor the event, but even more delighted to spoon up pup cups with all your furry friend’s favorite toppings! Come see us next year, and don’t forget your best buddy!
Rooted in Community, Growing Together
Grange Co-op has once again partnered with P.E.O. Sisterhood for their annual Garden Clinic, an educational event and fundraiser for PEO affiliates and community members. This year, Grange Co-op provided a planting activity for attendees and was one of the contributing speakers for popular garden topics, which included soil analysis, native plant selections, and growing iris. The event was also a productive fundraiser, bringing in over $800 in scholarship funds with raffle prizes alone! You can find a PEO chapter near you on their website peointernational.org/membership/find-a-chapter.
