Designed for large lawns, this spreader features Scotts® exclusive EdgeGuard® Technology to keep product off driveways, sidewalks, and landscaping. Its redesigned hopper and dual-bladed agitator ensure smooth product flow and consistent coverage. Pre-calibrated and ready to use, it holds enough product to cover up to 15,000 sq. ft. Perfect for applying grass seed, fertilizer, and even ice melt during winter.

EdgeGuard® Technology
EdgeGuard® blocks off the right side of the spread pattern to prevent product from spreading onto non-lawn areas like driveways and sidewalks.
How to Operate
- Set the rate control dial to the correct setting listed on your product bag.
- Fill the hopper over a driveway or hard surface to avoid spills on the lawn.
- Walk briskly (about 4 ft/sec) while squeezing the trigger to release product.
- Overlap slightly for even coverage. Release trigger when turning.
Spreader Settings
Refer to the back of your Scotts® product bag for the correct spreader setting. Common settings:
- Lawn Food: 5.5
- Weed & Feed: 4.5
- Starter Fertilizer: 4.5
Maintenance & Storage
After each use, empty the hopper and rinse thoroughly. Dry completely before storing in a cool, dry place.
