Down To Earth’s Granular Root Zone is a powerful blend of beneficial soil organisms that colonize plant roots and expand into the surrounding soil to greatly increase the absorptive surface area of root systems. Down To Earth new professional grade and ultra-concentrated formula of mycorrhizal fungi, Trichoderma and a diverse mix of bacterial species work symbiotically to promote enhanced activity in the rhizosphere, improved soil structure and extensive root growth. Granular Root Zone is ideal for inoculating all types of plants and establishing biological diversity in garden soils, potting mixes and soilless media.

Application Rates

DTE Granular Root Zone can be applied directly under seeds, cuttings and transplants or blended into garden soils and potting media. The objective is to ensure physical contact between the roots and the inoculant.

Vegetable Gardens & Flower Beds

Mix 1/2 lb per 100 sq. ft. and thoroughly mix into the top 3" of garden soil. When seeding, apply 1/2 teaspoon per row foot in furrow. For general use, spread 8 oz per 100 sq. ft. and mix into the top 3" of garden soil.

Trees, Shrubs & Vines

Apply 1-2 tablespoons per 1" of stem caliper directly to plant roots or mixed into soil in prepared transplant hole.

Containers & Houseplants

For new plantings, mix 2 tablespoons per cu foot of potting soil OR add 1 teaspoon per gal of potting media and mix thoroughly before planting. See product web page for additional large volume mix rates.
