Open to High School Seniors Who:
- Have a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 or higher.
- Have participated in FFA, 4-H, Horticulture, DECA, FBLA, or Student Body Leadership.
- Live in Jackson, Josephine, Klamath, Lake, Curry, Douglas, Coos, Siskiyou, Del Norte, Modoc or Humboldt counties.
Granting of Scholarship:
- $500 scholarship awarded to seven students. Students must reside in one of the following Oregon or California counties: Jackson, Josephine, Klamath, Lake, Curry, Douglas, Coos, Siskiyou, Del Norte, Modoc or Humboldt.
- $1,500 scholarship awarded to one student from any of the listed Oregon or California counties.
Requirements:
- Submit an essay including their scholastic career to this point, intended undergraduate education, and intended career field by February 15th.
- Submit letter of recommendation from a current teacher, counselor, administrator or employer by February 15th, 2013.
- Applicants may submit, in addition to the written essay, a video introducing themselves and presenting their essay, either on DVD or via a link to YouTube by February 15th, 2013.
- Scholarship Committee will review entries and determine a finalist list of eight students.
- From this finalist list, one student will be chosen to receive the $1,500 scholarship.
Additional Information:
Scholarships will be awarded at the Grange Co-op Annual Meeting each year
- Winning students and their parents will be invited to attend the Grange Co-op Annual Meeting for an award presentation.
Scholarship is a one-time gift.
