Grange Co-op Show Clinic

Join us at the Yuba-Sutter Fairgrounds February 26th for our Show Clinic! Grange Co-op, in partnership with Purina, will cover show information pertinent to cattle, hogs, goats and lambs. Please enter through Gate 8, the Livestock Gate. Doors open at 9:00AM and lunch will be provided by Grange Co-op and Purina. 

Seminar schedule is filled with regional experts in their field and live animal demonstrations such as:

  • Hogs with Rick Boyer
  • Cattle with Danny Casillas and John Gladmen
  • Sheep and Goats with Jordan Baumgartner and Matt Perkins

There will be prizes, raffles, and giveaways you won’t want to miss! We're excited to share tips and success strategies for livestock management, nutrition, daily care and more. Speaker Biographies

Danny Casillas and family own and manage a purebred and commercial Angus operation that sells steers, heifers and bulls private treaty. Born in Texas and raised in Ventura County, CA, Danny grew up involved in FFA exhibiting cattle. He attended Ventura College where he was the school farm manager and since college, Danny has shown nationwide, exhibiting National Champion Females in Hereford, Santa Gertrudis and Angus cattle. Danny has managed cattle operations including Ventura Farms, Rancho Paso Bravo and Vian Angus. Danny, and his wife Beth, have two grown children, Emmalee and Manuel, who as youth were very involved in the junior Angus and Hereford Associations as well. Danny has always had a passion to feed well, use proven genetics and produce cattle that are a success for his customers.

Honor Show Feeds and Purina Animal Nutrition Feeding Specialist, Jordan Baumgartner, will be this year's sheep and goat presenter. Jordan and his family run a group of show sheep based out of Albany, Oregon where they market club lambs to exhibitors showing in county, state, and jackpot shows. As a member of Chico’s livestock judging team, Jordan graduated from Chico State University with an Animal Sciences degree. During his time at CSU Chico, Jordan was the high individual at the American Royal stock show, and prior to that, was on the national champion team at Linn Benton Community College. Jordan continues his involvement in the livestock community by showing and judging a wide array of stock shows.
