Scotts turf builder grass seed pacific northwest mix is specially developed and formulated for the pacific northwest region. This mix is ideal for areas of sun and shade and it grows in thick to crowd out moss and poa annua. Each seed is wrapped in a unique 4 in 1 watersmart plus coating that absorbs 2x more water than uncoated seed, feeds with essential nutrients and helps protect seedlings from disease. Grow quicker, thicker, greener grass. Guaranteed.

Features
  • Fine bladed texture with medium drought tolerance. Seed will begin to grow in 5 - 10 days. You can mow the seedlings when they reach 3" in height
  • Crafted for the pacific northwest to withstand wet winters and dry, hot summers
  • Grows in thick to help keep out moss and poa annua
How To Use

Mow when new grass reaches 2-3" in height.

For best results, water twice daily for at least 3 weeks. Automatic timers can help ensure no essential waterings are missed.

New Lawn

  • Prep - Rake area to loosen the top layer of soil (approximately 2" deep) and remove any dead grass or debris, ensuring seed-to-soil contact
  • Rake - Lightly rake the seed into the soil to ensure seed is covered just beneath the soil surface. For best results, apply scotts turf builder starter food for new grass
  • Water - Water daily to keep the soil surface moist until the seedlings reach at least 2" tall

Overseeding

  • Prep - Mow lawn at the lowest setting and bag the clippings. Rake to remove debris, dead grass, and loosen the soil, ensuring seed-to-soil contact
  • Apply - apply using a scotts spreader
  • Rake - Lightly rake the seed into the soil to ensure seed is covered just beneath the soil surface. For best results, apply scotts turf builder starter food for new grass
  • Water - Water daily to keep the soil surface moist until the seedlings reach at least 2" tall

Fall and spring are the best times to plant grass seed because seed germinates best when temperatures are between 60°F And 80°F.

  • Weeks 5-6 - congratulations! This is what you, a little consistent effort, and a quality seed product can do
