MEDFORD, OR — Continuing with its legacy of a strong community partner, Grange Co-op will be giving away a total of 1,500 tree saplings in celebration of Arbor Day! The event will take place on Tuesday, April 13, 2021 starting at 11AM (while supplies last). Grange Co-op will give away one tree per household at each of its retail stores in Ashland, Medford, Central Point, White City, Grants Pass, Klamath Falls and Yuba City.
Arbor Day is a day designated to celebrating nature, and in doing so, individuals are encouraged to spend time outside planting trees. Grange Co-op has been giving away tree saplings in honor of Arbor Day since 2014. Educating the community about the importance of trees and their role in the ecosystem is something Grange Co-op strives to share and encourage every year. “We recognize how difficult 2020 was, however one thing that many people discovered was the love of gardening and landscaping,” says Jason Wall, Marketing Manager at Grange Co-op. “By continuing with our annual tradition of Arbor Day, we can collectively help the environment along with creating an opportunity for customers to plant a tree they can enjoy for decades at their home.”
To receive a free tree sapling, visit the Arbor Day display at one of Grange Co-op’s stores on April 13th starting at 11am. This year Grange Co-op is offering a variety of seedlings including Red Maple, Japanese Maple, Eastern Redbud, Maidenhair tree, Heartleaf Hornbeam and Korean Dogwood.
