Liquid Nails Tub Surround & Shower Wall Adhesive (LN-715) Is A High-solids, VOC Compliant Adhesive. This Unique Formulation Meets The Requirements Of All Air Quality Regulations And Will Not Soften Or Distort Tub And Shower Surround Materials. Certified By UL Environment To Meet The Greenguard Gold Standard As A Low Emitting Material.
Surface Preparation
Make Sure That All Surfaces Are Clean, Dry, Structurally Sound And Free Of Any Loose Paint Or Other Materials. Sand And Roughen High Gloss Paint. For Application Over Ceramic Tile, Sand Surface Before Applying Adhesive.
Application
 Apply Adhesive To Surround Panel In 1/4" Vertical Beads Starting One Inch From Edges. Press The Panel Firmly Into Place On The Wall Within 15 Minutes Of The Adhesive Application. Repeat For Remaining Panels And Corner Units. To Develop More Tack, Peel Panels Back From Wall For 3 Minutes, The Press Back Into Place.
- Note: One Surface Must Be Porous. Bracing May Be Needed If Panels Do Not Lie Flat. Panel Edges And Seams May Be Caulked After 24 Hours. Allow Adhesive And Caulk To Dry At Least 24 Hours Prior To Use, Longer In Humid Conditions Or Low Temperatures.
- Application Rate:Â 32 Linear Feet Per Tube. A Typical Surround Will Require Approximately 3 Tubes Of Adhesive For Installation.
- Venting Method: It Is Important For Proper Installation That Each Panel Be Vented According To The Following Directions. Apply LN-715 Adhesive And Press Panel Firmly To Wall, Then Pull Away. Wait 3-5 Minutes, Then Press Panel Firmly Back Into Place. For Proper Adhesion, After 20-30 Minutes Go Around Entire Tub Surround And Press Firmly Over All Flat Surfaces. If Any Edges Lift Up, Tape Them To The Wall With Masking Tape Until Adhesive Dries. Let Dry 24 Hours Prior To Caulking.
Clean Up
Use Water For Wet Adhesive. Scrape Off Dried Adhesive. Residue May Be Removed By Applying Mineral Spirits To A Cloth And Wiping.
Disposal
Place Empty Containers In Normal Refuse For Disposal. Remove Residual Product From The Container, Allow Product To Dry, And Dispose Of In Conjunction With Normal Household Waste. Contact Your Sanitation Department Or Household Hazardous Waste Coordinator For Information Concerning Possible Re-use Of Unused Caulks And Sealants.
