In 1947, Grange Co-op opened the grain elevator - an important addition to the growing agricultural community. By the early 50's product lines were expanded to include items for home and garden. It was during this time that bulk feed became available to local dairies, farms and ranches. In 1960, business was booming as Grange Co-op built a new store in Ashland. It seemed nothing could slow the cooperative down until, a year later, the first real tragedy struck when the grain elevator burned to the ground. Without the elevator to process their grain, local farmers faced a crippling economic setback. But, with great determination and diligence, the elevator was rebuilt just in time for the following summer's harvest. To this day, the grain elevator stands tall as a symbol of Grange Co-op's dedication to our agricultural community. Grange Co-op's feed mill is the only one in southern Oregon. It provides local farmers and ranchers with sacked or bulk Rogue Quality Feeds and certified organic feed produced locally to best meet local needs.
